Sample data and version
The answers below are from the Storelift sample data set (2026-09-28): one example app (Lumen — Sleep Sounds) tracked in the US with 8 keywords, and three example rivals (Example App A, Example App B, Example App C). Your own account returns your own apps and your own numbers.
All three tasks run on storelift-mcp 1.1.1 with these read tools: list_apps, get_history, get_rivals, get_store_page, get_keywords. If you have not connected yet, the setup guides: Claude, Claude Code, Cursor.
1. Which keywords moved in a week?
Ask: “Which of my US keywords rank lower than a week ago?” The assistant calls list_apps and get_history:
list_apps {}
{
"apps": [
{ "id": "sbx-lumen", "name": "Lumen — Sleep Sounds", "countries": ["us", "gb", "de"] }
]
}
get_history {"appId":"sbx-lumen","country":"us"}
{
"country": "us",
"series": {
"ios|white noise": [
["2026-09-20", 57], ["2026-09-21", 56], ["2026-09-22", 54], ["2026-09-23", 58],
["2026-09-24", 56], ["2026-09-25", 55]
],
"ios|sleep timer": [
["2026-09-20", 37], ["2026-09-21", 38], ["2026-09-22", 39], ["2026-09-23", 40],
["2026-09-24", 41], ["2026-09-25", 37], ["2026-09-26", 38], ["2026-09-27", 39]
]
}
}- Days compared: 2026-09-20 → 2026-09-27 (US)
- Lower: sleep timer 37 → 39; nature sounds 28 → 29
- Higher: rain sounds 37 → 34; relax 52 → 49
- Unchanged: meditation music 42
- Measured on both days, outside the results: sleep sounds; brown noise
- Left out of the comparison: white noise (latest measurement 2026-09-25, rank 55)
What you decide from it: which keyword to open first. In the sample it is sleep timer (37 → 39).
What the answer covers:
- Two measured days are compared: 2026-09-20 and 2026-09-27. The days between them are in the same answer under
series, for when you want the path and not only its two ends. - A point whose rank is
nullwas measured with the app outside the results that day; the answer says so and puts no number in its place. - A keyword with no point on 2026-09-27 is named with its last measured rank and day, and stays out of the comparison.
- The answer shows which keywords moved. The second task compares the apps ahead of you and dated changes on your own listing; those observations alone do not establish the cause.
2. Who is ahead on the keywords that fell?
Ask: “Who is above me on the keywords that fell, and did my own listing change that week?” The assistant reuses the history answer of the first task and calls get_rivals and get_store_page:
get_rivals {"appId":"sbx-lumen","country":"us"}
{
"country": "us",
"rivals": [
{
"name": "Example App A",
"terms": [
{ "term": "sleep timer", "theirRank": 1, "ourRank": 39 },
{ "term": "nature sounds", "theirRank": 1, "ourRank": 29 }
]
},
{
"name": "Example App B",
"terms": [
{ "term": "sleep timer", "theirRank": 2, "ourRank": 39 },
{ "term": "nature sounds", "theirRank": 2, "ourRank": 29 }
]
},
{
"name": "Example App C",
"terms": [
{ "term": "sleep timer", "theirRank": 3, "ourRank": 39 },
{ "term": "nature sounds", "theirRank": 3, "ourRank": 29 }
]
}
]
}
get_store_page {"appId":"sbx-lumen","country":"us"}
{
"country": "us",
"timeline": [
{ "day": "2026-09-16", "kind": "version" }
]
}- Keywords that fell: sleep timer and nature sounds (2026-09-20 → 2026-09-27, US)
- Apps above you, with their ranks: Example App A (sleep timer 1, nature sounds 1); Example App B (sleep timer 2, nature sounds 2); Example App C (sleep timer 3, nature sounds 3)
- Your rank: sleep timer 39, nature sounds 29
- Your own listing: the latest dated change is from before the week: a new version (2026-09-16)
What you decide from it: whose listing to open first: the app that is first on most of the keywords that fell. In the sample it is Example App A (first on 2 of 2).
What the answer covers:
get_rivalsreturns the latest measured day: who is above you on each keyword, at which rank (theirRank), and where you are (ourRank).- An
ourRankofnullmeans you were measured on that keyword and are outside the results. timelinein theget_store_pageanswer lists the dated changes on your own listing. A change that falls inside the compared week is the first record to set beside a rank move.- When a rank move is tied to a change, state both dates side by side: the day of the change and the day the rank was measured.
3. When a keyword has no measurement today
Ask: “Where do I rank for ‘white noise’ in the US today?” The assistant calls get_keywords and get_history:
get_keywords {"appId":"sbx-lumen","country":"us"}
{
"country": "us",
"keywords": [
{ "term": "sleep sounds", "measured": true, "rank": null },
{ "term": "white noise", "measured": false, "rank": null },
{ "term": "rain sounds", "measured": true, "rank": 34 }
]
}
get_history {"appId":"sbx-lumen","country":"us"}
{
"country": "us",
"series": {
"ios|white noise": [
["2026-09-20", 57], ["2026-09-21", 56], ["2026-09-22", 54], ["2026-09-23", 58],
["2026-09-24", 56], ["2026-09-25", 55]
]
}
}- white noise: latest measurement 2026-09-25, rank 55; two days before the newest day in the account (2026-09-27)
- rain sounds: rank 34 on 2026-09-27
- sleep sounds: measured on 2026-09-27, outside the results
What you decide from it: whether the number in front of you is today's. In the sample the rank for ‘white noise’ is dated 2026-09-25 and is used as that day's reading.
What the answer covers:
| Row from get_keywords | Meaning | What the assistant says |
|---|---|---|
measured: false | The keyword has no measurement on the newest day | The last measured rank and its day (the last point of the get_history series) |
measured: true, rank: null | Measured, the app is outside the results | “Measured, outside the results” |
measured: true, rank a number | Measured, this is the rank | The rank and its day |
- Every rank in the answer is stated with the day it was measured.
- Every point in the series is a measured day; averages and counts are taken over those points.
