Keyword field packer

The App Store's 100-character keyword field is the tightest and most wasted space in ASO. Enter your title and keywords and we'll pack it by Apple's indexing rules. It all runs in your browser, so your text stays on your device.

0/30 characters. Words in the title are not repeated in the field.

0/30 characters. The subtitle is indexed too, so its words are skipped as well.

One per line, or comma-separated. 0 terms read.

What the packing is based on

  • Title, subtitle and the keyword field are indexed together — a word in the title is never written into the field a second time.
  • Words recombine across fields: with "dream" and "dictionary" entered separately you also match "dream dictionary". That's why phrases are split into unique words.
  • The separator is a comma with no space. A space costs a character and buys nothing.
  • Your category, developer name and app name are already indexed; they don't need to be in the field.

The calculation runs in your browser. Your title and keyword list are never sent to any server — handing an unreleased version's keywords to a tool is usually not something you want.

This is the same calculation as the metadata auditor in the dashboard. There we also measure your rank, the apps above you, and whether the term is actually searched.

Common questions

Does what I type in the field reach you?

No. The packing runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to a server. Handing an unreleased version's title and target keywords to an ASO tool can mean disclosing that version, so the calculation stays on the client.

Should I repeat a word that is already in the title?

No. Apple indexes the title, subtitle and keyword field together, so repeating a word from the title only spends characters. The tool drops those duplicates for you.

Comma or space between keywords?

A comma with no space. A space is a character and buys nothing in a 100-character field. Apple recombines words across fields, so phrases are unnecessary too: split them into words.

Do I need my app name in the field?

No. The brand name is already in the title and indexed together with the field. Filling the field with it spends space reaching people who already know the name.

Should I add singular and plural separately?

Usually no, but it depends on the language. Turkish is agglutinative and Apple does not stem it as well as English; if a critical term has two forms that matter, decide from measured rank rather than from a guess.

How many characters should I use?

All of them. Staying under 100 means choosing to appear for fewer terms. The tool shows how full the field is; under 95% there is still room.
