Looking for an Appfigures alternative

Appfigures grew out of analytics, and it shows in the pricing. The tier people arrive on — $9.99/month — does not track keyword ranks at all. Daily ranks begin at $44.99, and competitor keywords with the rest of the ASO set at $149.99. That is a reasonable shape for an analytics company. It is an awkward one if rank tracking is why you came.

Read from Appfigures' own pricing page on 13 September 2026. Every tier includes five apps; additional apps are +$1.99 each, which does not appear in most comparison tables. From Connect up, the plan card also lists API, CLI and MCP access: Appfigures' official MCP server runs locally and exposes 38 tools.

02The estimates question

Appfigures' best-known product is its download and revenue estimates, modelled from real figures contributed by participating developers.

The part worth checking before you rely on it: the current help documentation describes the methodology at length — billions of training data points, models trained on shared real data — and publishes no error rate. Not overall, and not by app size. Where a figure has circulated historically it is a median across the whole corpus, and that corpus is weighted toward apps large enough to be sharing their data.

So the estimate is least reliable exactly where a small developer needs it most, and nothing on screen says so. Storelift prints the width instead of hiding it: a rival's monthly installs come with the arithmetic that produced them, and on Google Play they come from Google's own install count rather than a model. Where the chain would open past tenfold the figure is left out. Connect your App Store Connect account and your own numbers are real rather than derived.

04What changes if you switch from Appfigures

Appfigures' price ladder climbs by keyword count; Storelift's climbs by apps, keywords per storefront and history. The measurable differences:

  • The free plan has no end date: 1 app, 25 keywords in each of 2 storefronts, measured every day.
  • Each of 175 storefronts is its own row: the same keyword in Turkey and in Germany is two measurements, not one market.
  • Rank is read to the top 200 on the App Store and the top ~30 on Google Play, and the depth sits next to every rank — so "not ranked" always says how far down it was checked. See rank tracking.
  • Tracked rivals: 3 on Free, 15 on Pro, 50 on Studio, with each rival's rating count and age beside its rank.
  • History: 30 days on the free plan, 6 months on Pro ($20/mo) and 1 year on Studio ($60/mo).

Rank history does not move between tools — no vendor exports it in a shape another imports. The day you add the app, its history starts and fills in with every nightly run; copy the keyword list you already track, per country, as the starting set.

05When Appfigures is the better pick

  • You want download and revenue estimates, modelled from data that participating developers share.
  • You want download, revenue and review tracking on a free plan (Starter), with five apps included on every tier.
  • You need 500 keywords plus competitor keywords on one plan (Optimize, $149.99/mo).
  • You want an API, a CLI and a local MCP server with 38 tools, from Connect at $9.99/mo.

If what you need is daily keyword rank on both stores and who ranks above you, Storelift does that from $0, and Pro is $20/mo. Where another tool fits better, Storelift alternatives says which.

Frequently asked

Does Appfigures have a free tier?

Yes — the Starter plan, with download, revenue and review tracking. It does not include keyword tracking, which is the distinction worth checking on any free ASO tier.

Are download estimates accurate?

They are modelled from observable store signals and trained on real data from participating developers, which makes them plausible for large apps. No vendor in this category currently publishes an error rate by app size, so for a small app there is no way to know how far off a given number is.

Is there a free Appfigures alternative?

Yes, if what you need is keyword rank. Appfigures' free Starter plan tracks no keywords; Storelift's free plan tracks 25 keywords in each of 2 storefronts, daily, with 30 days of history and no end date.
