Each store text field has a hard limit. In App Store Connect the app name and subtitle take 30 characters, the keyword field 100 and the promotional text 170. In Google Play Console the app name takes 30 characters and the short description 80.

The counter shows how many characters each field has left and flags any field over its limit. It also lists words that repeat across the app name, subtitle and keyword field: Apple indexes those three together, so a repeated word only spends characters.

The count runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to a server. The tool needs no account.
