# API Terms > https://storelift.net/legal/api-terms/ Last updated: 2026-10-13 These terms add to the Terms of Service when you use the Storelift API, the MCP server or an OAuth connection to them. ## What they cover The REST API under `https://storelift.net/v1/`, the remote MCP server at `https://storelift.net/mcp`, the stdio MCP package, and the API keys and OAuth connections that give access to them. ## Keys and connections - Keep keys secret. Calls made with your key or connection count as yours. - Each key carries its own scopes; give a tool only the scopes it needs. - If a key leaks, revoke it in Settings and create a new one. Keys found in public code through GitHub secret scanning are revoked automatically, and you get an email. - Test keys read a sandbox dataset only and cannot write. ## Credits and limits Monthly credits, keys per plan, requests per second and daily Hive calls are published on [Hive API](https://storelift.net/hive/api/) and enforced in code. A call over a limit returns an error that names the limit; the usage endpoint stays free. Purchased credit packs are separate from monthly allowances. They do not renew automatically or expire at the month boundary. Current product entitlements, key counts, scopes, app permissions and rate limits still apply; a balance does not grant unrestricted access. Explorer is an independent subscription. Purchase, cancellation and refund rules are in the [Terms of Service](https://storelift.net/terms). Spreading one workload across several accounts to get around a limit is not allowed. ## Using the data - You may use API responses in your own apps, dashboards and reports, and in work you do for your clients. - When you publish Storelift figures, name Storelift as the source. - You may not resell responses as a data feed, or use them to build a copy of the Hive dataset for others. - Store data comes from the public App Store and Google Play. Your use of it also has to follow Apple's and Google's terms. ## Changes through MCP Tools that change something — a keyword, a review reply, an Apple Ads bid — return a preview first. Nothing is applied until you approve it, and the approval is logged. You are responsible for the changes you approve. ## Changes to the API We add endpoints and fields without notice. Before a breaking change to a `/v1` endpoint, key owners get at least 90 days' notice by email. ## Availability The [Status](https://storelift.net/status/) page shows service availability and the last seven daily measurement records. These are service-wide observations; use the dates in a response to interpret a particular app or storefront. Any availability commitment is defined by the applicable signed agreement. ## Ending access Access depends on your current plan, Explorer entitlement or eligible purchased balance, together with the key's scopes and permissions. Losing an entitlement can limit or stop access; it does not automatically delete the key record. Keys above the current allowance stop working. Revoked or expired keys cannot be used, and account deletion requests stop key access during the recovery period too. We may suspend a key that harms the service or other customers, and we tell you why. ## What changed - 2026-10-13 — Clarified that status records describe service-wide observations and that availability commitments depend on the applicable signed agreement. - 2026-10-09 — Clarified purchased credits, Explorer, current entitlements and key access after plan changes or deletion requests. - 2026-09-28 — First version published.
