# Screenshot analysis URL: https://storelift.net/features/screenshot-analysis/ Language: en Updated: 2026-10-15 See your screenshots the way search shows them, next to a competitor you pick. Check which storefronts share a set, read the text on each frame, and follow what happened after you shipped a new set. ## What the screen shows - 10 — screenshots per device, counted for iPhone and iPad - 3 — portrait frames, or one wide image, appear in search - 25 — competitors to compare on Studio, 5 on Free - 7 — days after a change before its rank is compared ## What the Screenshots screen shows | Part of the screen | What it tells you | | --- | --- | | How you look in search | The frames shoppers see in search results, yours beside a competitor's from your list. | | Order on the storefront | Every frame in order, for iPhone and iPad. Read the images writes each frame's text under it and marks the tracked keywords it contains. | | Storefronts sharing a set | Which storefronts show the same set and which have their own, so a market still on the default set stands out. | | Last change · Competitor average | How many days since your set last changed, and how many screenshots your competitors use on average. | | Product page test | When a test set is live on the storefront, the sets some visitors see instead of yours. | ## How it works 1. Add your app and open Screenshots. Each App Store storefront shows its own set, with iPhone and iPad counted separately. 2. Pick a competitor in How you look in search. Their first frames sit next to yours, as a shopper scrolling the results sees them. 3. Press Read the images to see whether your captions carry the keywords you track, frame by frame. 4. After you ship a new set, open Changes and impact. The change sits on the day it happened, with your rank on that day and seven days later. ## What you do with it - **First impression, side by side** — Search shows only your first frames. Put them next to the app you lose taps to before you redesign the rest. ([Preview a search result](https://storelift.net/tools/search-preview)) - **One set, or one per market** — See which storefronts still show the same set, and decide where a localized set is worth making. - **Test before you swap** — Store experiments puts each custom product page and test variant next to your default page, with views, the difference and whether it holds up yet. ## How to read a change ### A change is shown next to what followed it. Changes and impact places each change on your timeline and reads the days after it: - Rank on the day of the change and seven days later. Keyword field changes are read over 28 days. - Until seven days have passed, the row says it is too early instead of showing a number. - With your App Store Connect account connected, conversion and daily downloads sit next to the change; with your subscription account connected, trials and revenue too. - It shows what happened after a change, not that the change caused it. A competitor may have updated the same week. ## What each plan includes | | Free | Pro | Studio | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Screenshots and How you look in search | Yes | Yes | Yes | | Competitors to compare | 5 | 10 | 25 | | Image text reads (AI text allowance) | 3 a month | 100 a month | 300 a month | | Changes and impact history | 90 days | 1 year | 2 years | | Store experiments | Yes | Yes | Yes | Pro is $20/month or $200 a year ($16.67/month), Studio $60/month or $600 a year ($50/month). A: If your first iPhone screenshot is landscape, search shows it as one wide image. If it is portrait, the first three frames appear side by side. The rest are seen only on your product page. Q: Can I compare my screenshots with a competitor's? A: Yes. Pick any competitor from your list and see both in search and frame by frame: 5 competitors per app on Free, 10 on Pro, 25 on Studio. Q: Can I see whether my captions are translated? A: Storefronts that share a set show the same images. To see what each frame says, use Read the images: the text appears under each frame, with the tracked keywords it contains. Q: Does this cover Google Play? A: Screenshots, Store experiments and Changes and impact cover the App Store. Google Play apps get rank tracking, reviews and competitors as usual. Q: Is there a free screenshot preview tool? A: Yes. The search result preview shows how an app's first frames look in search, without an account. Free plan: 1 app, 25 keywords in each of 2 storefronts, 30 days of history, no card, no end date. Pro is $20/mo.
