# ASO tool pricing, compared URL: https://storelift.net/compare/aso-tool-pricing/ Language: en Updated: 2026-09-23 ASO tool pricing has two numbers, and almost every tool advertises the smaller one. The gap is not small: on one platform the headline is $9.99, daily keyword ranks begin at $44.99 and competitor keywords at $149.99. Here are both columns, read from each vendor's own pricing page — on 13 September 2026 for AppFollow, Appfigures, AppTweak and Sonar, in August 2026 for Mobile Action — plus the wider ASO pricing list, API prices and what ASO costs as a service. ## The advertised price, and the ASO price The second column is the one to read. It is the cheapest tier on which you can track a keyword's rank every day — the thing most people open an ASO tool for. | Tool | Advertised from | Where daily rank tracking starts | What you're actually buying at the entry tier | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Storelift | Free | Free | 1 app / 25 keywords per storefront / 2 storefronts, measured daily, no time limit | | Sonar | $29/mo ($24.17 billed yearly) | same — Indie plan | 10 apps / 2,500 keywords / all countries / API, CLI and MCP on the entry plan. No free plan; 7-day trial | | Applyra | Free · $9.99/mo | Free — 5 keywords, 7-day history | Free: 1 app, 5 keywords, 1 competitor, 7 days of history. The $9.99/mo plan ($99.99 yearly) is unlimited apps, keywords and history under a fair-use policy with no published limit; REST API (10k requests/mo) and MCP server | | Mobile Action | $15/mo | $69/mo | Lite is 100 keywords, 3 competitors per app and 3 months of history | | AppTweak | €79/mo | €79/mo | 500 keywords, one seat, 6 months of history. Campaign Manager, Reviews, Market Intelligence, the API and AI Visibility are each sold separately — AI Visibility only on Enterprise | | Appfigures | $9.99/mo | $149.99/mo | The $9.99 monthly tier tracks no keywords (billed yearly, its card lists 25). Daily ranks start at $44.99; competitor keywords and the full ASO set at $149.99. Extra apps are +$1.99 each on every tier | | AppFollow | Free · ASO plan $29/mo | Free — 500 keywords, 7-day history | Built around review management and reply workflows. Free tier: 2 apps, 500 keywords, 10 competitors, unlimited users, 7 days of history. The ASO plan is $29/mo ($19 billed yearly); Essential, with the review automation, is $179/mo | NOTE: Prices move and tiers get renamed. Every row links to the vendor's own pricing page under Sources. One caveat we owe you: AppTweak publishes in euro and this table is not currency-adjusted. AppFollow's figures are read from its own pricing page; the $29 ASO plan is described in its plan announcement, also linked. ## Price isn't the axis that decides The higher prices above pay for modules that sit outside rank tracking: market intelligence, ad management, review workflows, seats for a team. Whether you need those is a separate question from what rank tracking costs. The axis that actually decides is different: where does the number come from? Two tools can show the same "volume" column at $12 and at $299, both copied from the same place — Apple's advertising console. When that source moved in September 2025, both columns moved with it. So before comparing tiers, ask three things of any tool you're evaluating: 1. Can I verify a number myself? If a rank is 14, can you run the same search and see 14? 2. What happens on a failed measurement? A gap in the chart is honest. A zero is a crash that never happened. 3. Is the measurement depth printed on screen? "Not ranked" means nothing until you know whether the tool looked at 30 results or 100. 4. Is there a published error rate? Ask it of any estimated figure — downloads, revenue, search volume. A number sold without one is not a measurement. That fourth question is worth spending a paragraph on, because the estimate columns are where most of the money in this category sits. Vendors describe their models in detail — billions of training data points, real figures contributed by hundreds of thousands of apps — and then publish no error rate at all. Where a figure has surfaced historically it is a median across the whole corpus, and that corpus is weighted toward the apps large enough to share their data in the first place. Which means the estimate is at its worst exactly where a small developer needs it most. An app with nine lifetime ratings sits in the tail the model saw least of, and nothing on screen tells you that. Storelift takes the other side of that trade. A rival's installs are a band with the arithmetic printed beside it — rating count, months live, the ratings-per-install range — and on Google Play they stop being a band at all: the page carries the exact install count, so the month-over-month change is Google's own number. Where the chain gets loose enough that the band would run past tenfold, the figure is left out rather than decorated. Connect your own App Store Connect account and your own numbers are real rather than derived. ## Where Storelift sits Storelift is the narrow end of this list. It measures keyword rank (top 200 on iOS, top ~30 on Android), the apps ranking above you on each keyword, demand from App Store autocomplete, and store reviews — across 175 storefronts. Install and revenue figures come from your own account when you connect it, rather than from a model. It does not manage ad campaigns. On the Studio plan it also answers a newer question — people now ask an assistant which app to use. Storelift generates natural questions from your keywords and puts them to Claude, then reads each answer for whether your app is named and in what position — in up to three storefronts per app, with the storefront each answer came from printed beside it. One competitor measures this today. AppTweak launched AI Visibility in April 2026; its pages name ChatGPT and Claude, publish no country or language coverage, and place it on the Enterprise tier. Storelift includes it on Studio, at $60/month. Storelift also ships a public API and an MCP server on the Pro and Studio tiers, so an assistant can read your measurements where you already work. This is worth saying plainly rather than dressing up: it is no longer unusual. Sonar's hosted server lists 52 tools against our 8 read-only ones; AppFollow and AppTweak run remote servers, Appfigures ships a 38-tool local server from its $9.99 tier, Astro a local beta inside its $108-a-year plan, Mobile Action ships one, and there are independent ASO MCP servers on npm. Treat it as table stakes when comparing, not as a reason to choose. Free tiers are also more common here than vendors' marketing suggests — Appfigures and AppFollow both have one. The distinction worth checking is narrower: whether the free tier tracks keyword rank, and how much history it keeps. Appfigures' tracks no keywords. AppFollow's tracks more keywords than ours — 500 — and keeps seven days of history. Most of the rest offer a time-limited trial instead. Storelift's free tier measures one app, 25 keywords in each of two storefronts every day, keeps 30 days of history, and has no end date. It exists because we needed it for our own portfolio of apps before anyone else used it. ## ASO pricing across twenty tools The table above compares six tools in depth. These are the plans and prices of every tool we have read, each linked to its own page, where the limits behind every price sit. | ASO tool | Plans and prices | Read on | | --- | --- | --- | | Storelift | Free · Pro $20/mo · Studio $60/mo | — | | Sonar | $29/mo · $24.17 billed yearly · no free plan | 19 Sep 2026 | | AppTweak | €79 · €249 · €499 a month, one seat each | 13 Sep 2026 | | Mobile Action | Lite $15/mo · Basic $69/mo | Aug 2026 | | Appfigures | $9.99 · $44.99 (daily ranks) · $149.99/mo | 13 Sep 2026 | | AppFollow | Free · ASO $29 · Essential $179 · Team $599 a month | 13 Sep 2026 | | Asodesk | Free (200 keywords) · $59 · $199 · $449 a month | 13 Sep 2026 | | ASOMobile | Free (20 keywords) · $59 to $299 a month | 13 Sep 2026 | | AppVector | Free (10 keywords) · $49 · $99 a month | 13 Sep 2026 | | FoxData | $9.90 · $59 · $159 a month | 13 Sep 2026 | | ASO.dev | $19 (no keywords) · $39 per seat a month | 13 Sep 2026 | | Applyra | Free (5 keywords) · $9.99/mo | 13 Sep 2026 | | AppDrift | Free · $9.99 · $19.99 · $39.99 a month | 18 Sep 2026 | | ASOHawk | Free · $14 · $39 a month | 18 Sep 2026 | | ASOon | Free (10 keywords) · $12/mo · $96 a year | 18 Sep 2026 | | ASO Atlas | $9/mo · $100 a year · no free plan | 13 Sep 2026 | | Kōmori | $19.99/mo · $199.99 a year | 13 Sep 2026 | | Astro | $108 a year (about $9/mo) | 13 Sep 2026 | | App Radar | €69 · €169 · €299 a month | Aug 2026 | | Sensor Tower | Quote only · Vendr median $74,415 a year | Aug 2026 | ## ASO API pricing An API is priced three ways in this category: bundled into a plan, sold as its own product, or metered in credits. The figures recorded on each tool's page: | Tool | Where the API is | Read on | | --- | --- | --- | | Storelift | Pro · $20/mo, with the MCP server — see Storelift API | — | | Sonar | Entry plan · $29/mo · API, CLI and MCP | 19 Sep 2026 | | Applyra | Unlimited plan · $9.99/mo · 10,000 requests a month | 13 Sep 2026 | | AppTweak | Separate API plans from €166/mo | 13 Sep 2026 | | Asodesk | Separate product from $39/mo, priced per credit · 100 free credits a month | 13 Sep 2026 | | FoxData | Enterprise on request, or prepaid credits from $59 | 13 Sep 2026 | ## What ASO costs as a service ASO packages sold by agencies are priced per engagement, not per month. The one agency on our list, Gummicube, publishes no price list; Clutch's aggregated client data puts its typical project at $25,000–$60,000, at $50–$99 an hour, with a $1,000 minimum project size (read August 2026, details). That buys strategy and production done for you; a tool sells the measurement you act on yourself. ## What Storelift costs | Plan | Price | What it measures | | --- | --- | --- | | Free | $0 | 1 app · 25 keywords per storefront · 2 storefronts · 30 days of history · no end date | | Pro | $20/mo · $16.67 billed yearly | 5 apps · 250 keywords per app per storefront · all 175 storefronts · 6 months of history · 3 seats · export, API and MCP server | | Studio | $60/mo · $50 billed yearly | Unlimited apps · 500 keywords per app · 10 seats · AI visibility in Claude | Full plan details on the pricing page. ## FAQ Q: Is there a genuinely free ASO rank tracker? A: Yes, two. AppFollow's free tier tracks 500 keywords across two apps with seven days of history. Storelift's tracks one app, 25 keywords in each of two storefronts, daily, with 30 days of history. Neither has an end date. Appfigures' free tier has no keyword tracking, and the other tools on this page offer a time-limited trial instead. Q: Why do keyword limits differ so much between tools? A: Because a tracked keyword is a recurring cost: every keyword, in every country, has to be measured every day. A tool advertising thousands of keywords cheaply is usually measuring less often, less deeply, or estimating. Q: Do I need a paid tool at all? A: If you have one app, a handful of keywords and one market, a free tier answers your questions. Paid tiers start earning their price when you're running several apps or several countries, because the manual alternative stops fitting in a morning. Q: Why is the advertised price so often not the ASO price? A: Because these platforms grew out of different products. Appfigures began as analytics, so its cheap tier tracks your own downloads and revenue and keyword ranking arrives much higher up. AppFollow began as review management. AppTweak sells ASO at its entry tier but bills Campaign Manager, Reviews, Market Intelligence, the API and AI Visibility separately. None of this is dishonest — but the headline figure answers a different question than the one you asked. Q: How much does an ASO tool cost? A: From $0 to five figures a year. Free plans that track keyword rank exist (Storelift, AppFollow, Asodesk, ASOMobile, AppVector, ASOon, ASOHawk). The first paid plan of an indie-sized tool sits between $9 and $59 a month — ASO Atlas $9, Applyra $9.99, FoxData $9.90, ASOon $12, Storelift Pro $20, Sonar $29, Asodesk and ASOMobile $59. Team platforms run higher: AppTweak €79 to €499 a month, AppFollow's review plans $179 to $599, Appfigures' full ASO set $149.99. Sensor Tower publishes no price; Vendr's tracked median is $74,415 a year. Each figure carries its read date on the tool's own page. Q: How much does an ASO API cost? A: Recorded prices range from a bundled API on the plan — Applyra $9.99, Storelift Pro $20, Sonar $29 — to separate products: Asodesk from $39 a month in credits, FoxData credits from $59, AppTweak API plans from €166 a month. Q: How much do ASO agency packages cost? A: Agencies quote per project. For Gummicube, Clutch's aggregated client data puts the typical project at $25,000–$60,000, at $50–$99 an hour (read August 2026). That figure is Clutch's, not a published price list.
