## How this is measured

Sources: Apple's public top free chart feed for all iPhone apps in Germany, and Apple's public iTunes lookup endpoint, queried once for all apps in the chart on the Germany storefront. No Storelift customer data is used.

The ratings wall is the highest rating count in the top 10, with the median beside it. A top 10 filled with new apps without ratings has a median close to zero even when the first place holds hundreds of thousands of ratings, so the median alone would understate it. Rating counts are for this storefront only.

“Updated” uses each app's current version release date and “first released” its original release date, both counted back from the measurement date. Name length counts characters as Apple displays them.

A figure appears only when at least half of the chart's apps returned data (8 of the top 10 for the wall), with its base beside it. If Apple's lookup fails on a day, the previous measurement stays with its own date. A chart position is not a search rank.
